Job Description:
PURPOSE
The purpose of this position is to install, support and maintain
the enterprise server environment. The Systems Administrator will
perform tasks that include but are not limited to user security,
new server installations, data backups, performance monitoring,
troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and system updates.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES
- Oversees administration of Windows Server and Windows Active
Directory users accounts and access permissions
- Group Policy Design, and Administration
- Installs, configures and supports all of the following
technologies:
- Virtualization and Storage Technologies (VMware, Tegile,,
Pure)
- Citrix XenApp 6.5+ Server, Netscaler and Citrix Access
Gateway
- Microsoft Exchange, Office 365
- Microsoft SQL server 2012, through current versions
- Cisco Bladecenter, Cisco HyperFlex and Cisco Servers/Nutanix
- Maintains and manage DNS, DHCP, WINS, SNMP and NTP in a Windows
environment
- Performs analysis, resolution and identify root cause of
issues
- Analyzes system logs and utilize monitoring tools to identify
potential issues with computing systems
- Performs monthly administration of security patching for
servers and end user systems using Azure Patch Automation
- Guides provisioning, installation, configuration, operation,
and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related
infrastructure
- Works cooperatively with others on a team to share information,
resolve conflicts and make decisions in all aspects of information
technology and/or network operations
- Creates and maintain documentation of hardware/software,
application, processes, and other related information
- Acts as the focal point for maintaining enterprise network and
server security against attacks from outside agencies as well as
from Virus attack
- Responds to end-user inquiries on the telephone, Teams and via
email
- Plans network and server upgrades in time windows that least
impact production
- Communicates with vendors regarding application bugs and
planned implementation schedules of application updates
- Sets goals and achieve measurable results

Years of Experience and Knowledge
- 5 - 7 years of direct experience in an IT environment
- 3 Years of Direct Experience as a Systems Administrator
- Working knowledge and experience in working with Cisco Blade,
HyperFlex and Single Servers
- In depth knowledge of administration of Windows Server and
Windows Active Directory (100+ Servers)
- Thorough understanding of Virtualization and storage
technologies (VMware, Pure , Tegile)
- Citrix XenApp Server, Netscaler or Citrix Access Gateway
(Installation, Migration and Troubleshooting)
- Microsoft Exchange or Office 365 (600+ Users)
- Security/patching with WSUS, Azure or other third party
packages
- Disaster recovery planning and testing
- Knowledge of SAN and network topologies (FC and OSI model)
- Experience maintaining and managing DNS, DHCP, WINS, SNMP and
NTP
- Technical knowledge of networking concepts TCP/IP, VPN, and
VLAN
- Knowledge of LAN/WAN environments, switches, firewalls, routers
and wireless access points
- Possess knowledge in the following network concepts and
technologies:
- LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, VLAN, VPN and the OSI Model
- Switches, firewalls, router and wireless access points (Cisco,
Fortinet)
- MPLS (BGP & OSPF protocol)
- Knowledge in the Healthcare industry a plus Education,
Licenses, and Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or
equivalent work experience required
- Certification in MCSE or other certifications focusing on
Windows infrastructure, design and maintenance
- Preferred: Valid, unrestricted state driver's license
- Preferred: Personal vehicle, valid registration, and current
insurance Skills and Abilities
- Intermediate level Microsoft Office skills (Teams, PowerPoint,
Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Advanced Level vMWare ESXi 7.xx
- Advanced Level in Active Directory
- Intermediate Level: Backup of Systems
- Ability to work in cramped quarters and awkward positions;
ability to lift and carry equipment and materials weighing up to
100 lbs.
- Ability to work at multiple campuses
- Participate in an on-call rotation
Salary
range for this position: $72,600-$90,800. Actual base salary may
vary based upon, but not limited to: relevant experience,
qualifications, expertise, certifications, licenses, education or
equivalent work experience, time in role, peer and market data,
prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
Work
Schedule (may vary to meet business needs): Monday-Friday, 7.5
hours per day (37.5 hours per week). Full time on-site.
